Massage Therapy

Massage therapists treat many conditions

Massage Therapy is an effective way of treating and managing conditions such as: whiplash, neck and back pain, strains, sprains, headaches, postural conditions, fibromyalgia, chronic pain, constipation, carpal tunnel syndrome, stress, and anxiety.

Massage can also be used before and after sports events, to help with insomnia, and to relieve aches and pains of pregnancy. Massage is a great preventative treatment for your average everyday aches, pains, and muscle stiffness or as a relaxing treat to yourself.

Your first visit will involve an assessment

Your first visit to a massage therapist will involve a short assessment consisting of a subjective report and past medical history. The majority of the assessment is done during the first treatment as you are massaged.

Many people think of massage as something that takes place as at a spa, but massage is also a medical modality that can be very therapeutic. At Balance, the massage therapists are fully qualified to assess and treat any injury or to simply provide a relaxation treatment. The therapist will assess you and determine the appropriate amount of pressure to apply depending on your needs and condition.

A variety of treatment methods

Treatment methods include: myofascial release, trigger point release, deep tissue massage, swedish relaxation and suikodo. We are equipped with a pregnancy massage table for the pregnant mother.
