Erika Turner, PT

erika 2Erika Turner, PT has a special interest in sport physiotherapy and works with athletes of all ages who want to overcome injuries enabling them to play at their best. She believes a combination of individualized hands on treatment and exercise will make an impact on the individual’s quality of life and sport. Erika’s work experience includes working in orthopaedic physiotherapy clinics where she has treated a variety of conditions including athletes, motor vehicle accidents, worker’s compensation, and neurological conditions.

Outside of work, Erika practices what she preaches in the clinic. She is an avid athlete who cross-trains using a combination of running, swimming and strength training. She is a competitive Ultimate Disc player who plays with the Halifax Ultimate league and various Women and Co-Ed teams from across the Maritimes.

Erika has completed her BSc. in Kinesiology at the University of New Brunswick and her MSc. in Physiotherapy from Dalhousie University. She is licensed with the Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapy and is a member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association, Nova Scotia Physiotherapy Association and Orthopedic Division. Since graduation, Erika has completed additional orthopedic and sport physiotherapy courses.
